Academic & Innovation Path

Melkamu Kebede — currently advancing at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU). After scoring 519.19/600 on the entrance examination, I joined AASTU to level up my academic journey, merging rigorous engineering foundations with deep tech skills.

Early Passion for Innovation – Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by solving technology-based local challenges. By grade six, I made an innovation center my second home, experimenting and building prototypes. This drive earned me a place at Hayole Educational Project School (Hawasa, Sidama) where I maintained top academic rank while developing real-world software.

Software Engineering Achievements – Skilled in Android (Java) and web ecosystems (JavaScript/HTML/CSS). At AASTU Innovation Center, I’m currently finalizing two advanced Android applications addressing governmental & educational inefficiencies — bridging digital transformation with Ethiopia’s needs.

From a curious child fixing gadgets to an emerging tech leader, my journey reflects unwavering commitment to impactful innovation.

Strategic Vision: Nuclear Engineering & Tech Leadership

🎯 My ambition is to specialize in:

Nuclear Power Plants Design, Operation & Engineering (BSc)

Ethiopia holds immense potential as a future nuclear power driver. I aim to lead sustainable energy projects with advanced simulation & safety systems.

Management in Technological Systems (MA)

Bridging engineering with leadership to drive large-scale innovation ecosystems across Africa.

If granted the scholarship, I will dedicate myself to mastering both Artificial Intelligence integration in nuclear systems and strategic tech management. Ethiopia’s transformative potential will be fueled by innovators who merge science, software, and leadership — I am ready to contribute.

“From AI-driven diagnostics to nuclear energy planning, my journey shapes solutions that matter.”
